- 1 ⅓ cups of cake flour
- 2 teaspoons of cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon of cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon of kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
- 6 tbsp of salted butter
- 3/4 cup of brown sugar
- 3 1/2 cups of granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup of vegetable oil
- 3 small eggs
- 2/3 Cup buttermilk
- 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
- 6 ounces of cream cheese
- pinch fine sea salt
Instructions
- Prepare 350°F oven. Grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
- Blend margarine and sugar. Mix in the oil. Beat rapidly after each egg and clean the bowl. add buttermilk and vanilla.
- Add flour mixture and buttermilk to three additions and other ingredients.
- Bake the batter for 40 minutes. Cool in pan.
- Mix butter and cream cheese. Mix vanilla, brown sugar and salt.
- complete mix; beat until fluffy. Spread frosting on cooled cake. Served.
